Cure Heartburn with Gentian Root

Gentian teas are a time-tested effective treatment for heartburn. A lot of herbalists, more particularly Chinese medicine practitioners, prescribe this medicine due to its effectiveness. Drinking gentian root tea regularly can prevent heartburn attacks. To use it, just simmer at least 1 teaspoon of chopped dried root in one cup of water for about 20 minutes. Drink the tea half an hour before your meal.

Herbal Remedy for Heartburn with Ginger Root

Ginger root happens to be most common herbal medicine for heartburn. Its goodness was discovered way back during the olden times. And right now, it is one of the most precious plants in China. Ginger root can calm down upset stomachs while absorbing acids in the process. Prepare ginger root tea by boiling few ginger roots in a cup of water. Drink it warm after meals.

Treat Heartburn with Fennel Seeds

Fennel Seeds provide quick and effective relief for any digestive problems, more particularly heartburn. The seeds can be chewed or can be made into a tea. You can chew 2-3 grams after meals. To serve it as tea, boil 3 grams of seeds in 250 ml water. Let the solution cool down. Drink at least 2-3 cups daily. 

Natural Treatment for Heartburn with Peppermint Leaves

Peppermint leaves help soothe digestive system problems and prevent indigestion. This herb is also known to provide great relief from allergies that can trigger asthma attacks. There is one popular preparation for peppermint leaves that's being used until now. And that is to brew it into tea. Get 2-3 leaves of dried peppermint, pour hot water on the leaves and cover it. Allow this to steep for 10 minutes. Strain and drink with sugar or honey as desired. The aroma of peppermint leaves alone has therapeutic effects.
